Earlier(2-3 days back) whenever i used to double click on any of my hard drives(C: D: E:) they used to open?

but now, i double click on them, nothing happens. i have to right click and click open to access it. kindly help.

Make sure that your double-click detection speed hasn't be set too high. Check this under the Mouse icon in your control panel. In the buttons tab you'll see a slider for your double-click speed. If it's set high, lower it. This would be affecting everything you double click on, not just your drives, though.





If that's not the case, then something is messed up in Windows. Without further information, the best I could tell you would be to reinstall your OS. Obviously, this option will cause some pain because you'll have to back up anything important first and reinstall all your applications after you do this.

when that opens go to tools then folder options


change the one ate the bottom to dubble click to open items... if that dosent work try rebooting your computer... or like the other guys post... check mouse dubble click speed
