Why can't I access drive C of my PC by double-clicking. Most of the times, it appears the Open With dialog box when I try to open the drive.

Accessing drive C of my PC?
press the windows key then E, to launch windows explorer. Shoud work everytime and is generally faster then clicking something.

Alternatively Alt-Tab goes between programs and

Windows the Break pops up system properties.
Reply:can you access it another way?
Reply:the root of your drive C may have an autorun.inf file in it. open MY COMPUTER, go to TOOLS %26gt; FOLDER OPTIONS %26gt; VIEW tab, under the HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS, select SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS then click OK. open your drive C by right clicking on it and click OPEN (this bypasses the autorun.inf file), after opening drive c and in the root of your drive c (C:\) look for the autorun.inf and delete it, this should solve your problem. make sure you run an antivirus on your system and make sure it is updated, these problems are caused by viruses so have a good antivirus installed on your system

Good luck!
Reply:Use the shortcut key combinations.

Hold down the Start key and poke the E key.
Reply:Try to right click and select open or explore
Reply:The laptops for my school have the C drive blocked off, but I figured out if you do the following, it will show.
