Who else thinks the race will be over on may 6th? Hillary is projected to lose in both N.C and IND.?

Obama is having solid double digit lead in N.C and he is ahead of her in Indiana, its over for Hillary?

Who else thinks the race will be over on may 6th? Hillary is projected to lose in both N.C and IND.?
no even he wins both Indiana and North Carolina!!!in addition i think that Hillary will win Indiana!!
Reply:Even though I'm a Obama supporter, I don't think that the race will be over May 6th, however If Obama wins both N.C. and Indiana I think that it will be over, but if Hillary win's one state and Obama wins another, the race will continue most likely.

Hillary "could" cut into Obamas lead in N.C. like Obama cut into Hillary's lead in Pennsylvania even though he never surpassed her in polls, so anything is possible.

From what I heard on the news, Indiana has a population/demographics similiar to Pennsylavania's, so Hillary could possibly win that state too if Obama doesn't start connecting with working class whites.
Reply:Well, the IND poll shows 45/45 with 10 percent undecided, which could be a problem for Obama since the trend has been for undecideds in the last week or so to break toward Clinton 60/40 or so.

But then again, Obama did school some kids half his age at Basketball out there.. and Hillary was pushing him for that bowling match...maybe he should challenge Hillary to a free throw contest for the win. ;-)
Reply:Don't bet on it even if Obama wins NC %26amp; IN. Hillary is not going to quit. Obama will win NC and IN is a toss up. Hillary may have a slight advantage with the PA win, the backing of a popular senator, and the pro-Clinton press. We will see.
Reply:Hillary won't quit if she loses both Indiana and North Carolina. She will start to whine about Michigan's and Florida's delegates not being counted. She will take this all the way to the convention.
Reply:It's already over.Obama will have a better chance of getting rural voters than Hillary will to get the black vote and the superdelegates know this.She's toast vs Mccain without that.
Reply:Hillary will lose in both and drops out of the race, but she will do anything to make Obama lose in the fall.
Reply:it would be my hope but Hillery is so obsessed with power she will do and say anything to keep it going, her money will dry up and then she will go into her own bank account to fund herself again
Reply:That would be a solidified blessing for the country and the Democratic Party. Perhaps enough time for healing and unity.
Reply:I don't. Clinton will win Indiana.

She does better with late deciders and the demograhics favor her.
Reply:i do agree with you either way Hillary Clinton is Finnish .
Reply:She'll take Indiana. No problem.
Reply:She is not projected to lose Indiana stupid Obama fan.
Reply:Wrong. Too close to call in Indiana.
Reply:be aware of the fact that if he loses I feel like he should drop just because he is projected to win.
Reply:Nope. Try again.
Reply:hilerry will win all the rest of the elections in which she runs against aborma.
Reply:Its far from over.

Can a double bond be readily broken and reformed?

For example, let's say you have molecule 'A'. A double bond in this molecule is broken so that two separate pieces 'B' and 'C' are created. How easy is it to "mend" that broken double bond so that' B' and 'C' are reattached to one another to again be A?

Can a double bond be readily broken and reformed?
Chemical bonds are not "solid" or "physical" unions. They are interaction between 2 atoms. Covalent bonds (which I think you refer) are a sharing of 2 pair of electrons between 2 molecules. Organic chemistry is based mainly on the study of the "breaking" or "creating" of this type of bonds. The answer to your question is YES, double bonds can be broken and the atoms used to have the bond, can form new ones.

Why does Visual C++ change the value of my variable?

I'm a beginner in C++, and I've defined a double variable (exh) as 100.0015. But when I run the program, the number changes to 100.0014999... what is going on?

Why does Visual C++ change the value of my variable?
because floating point numbers are defined in computer logic as

NUMBER * 2^X, where X and number are stored in the computer, this leaves a little inaccuracy, because not every number in base 10 can be represented this way. Which leads to the first rule of programming:

Never compare floating point numbers for equality.

Instead compare them for "close enough"-ness. Such as:

float a,b,c;

if((a - b) %26lt; .000001)

{

cout %26lt;%26lt; "Number's are \"equal\""

}
Reply:Not all decimal floating numbers can be represented exactly the same in binary floating point format. It's the same number or as close as you are going to get, 100.0014999~. This is why you should always use format specifiers when printing out floating point numbers. A format specifier says how many digits to the left and/or right of the decimal point that you wish to print out, and will round the number properly.

C code help for file output?

I have a problem with the following code .....

FILE* out_file;

out_file = fopen("c:\\data.dat", "w");

double data = 0.017876148;

.....

fprintf(out_file,"%lf", data);

fclose(out_file)

I want to print out the exact 9 digits on a dat/txt file but I am getting a truncated digit of 0.0178761. How can I fprintf the whole data without being truncated ?

C code help for file output?
with the printf field modifier, like so ...

fprintf(out_file,"%.9lf", data);

see the '.9' ? that says to use nine digits of precision after the floating point....good luck

Man I love C. Hope you can enjoy it too. It's a steep learning curve at first, but very powerful lang and worth the work. Can't tell you how many languages borrowed and stole C ideas and structure. My point: learning C will aid leaning across many languages...no time is spent on it is lost, so to speak.

Why my C and D folders don't open when i try to open them?

i am using windows xp home edition.

both my C and D folders were fine yesterday but today

when i try to open C and D folders(just by double click on the folder or right click then open), i get black screen window that moves from up to down then it disappears). the window that appears and disappears after few seconds can be reached by going to start%26gt;run

in the run box type cmd

then type HELP in the window under c folders or other subfolders of this.

So how can i fix this problem?

Why my C and D folders don't open when i try to open them?
Right click on any of those drives' icon in My Computer and choose Explore. Then try to spot a file called "Autorun.inf" in there and delete the hell out of them. Restart your computer and you will be fine.

Good luck.

How can I do so that both the disk" C: " and the CD-DVD-RW disk open its content in the same window?

Hello I'm form Mexico and I'm an user of Windows XP. For one week I've had this problem and I can't solve it, when i double click on the disk " C: " and the" CD-DVD-RW " disk the content of the disks appear in a different window, although in the Folder options I have the option " Open folders in the same window " activated, and when I open any folder it shows its content in the same window. I tried to make use of the advanced options in the "File extensions" section but there it's not possible to activate the option " Explore in the same window " nor to edit the actions "open" and "find". For your answers, thank you.

How can I do so that both the disk" C: " and the CD-DVD-RW disk open its content in the same window?
i dont think you can

Reformatting my C drive?

I've added a second HD to my system, it was suppose to allow me to transfer everything from the original C drive to the new drive and then it was suppose to wipe the old C drive clean. But the software never cleared the old C drive. So now I have double everything.

How do I reformat my C drive with the original version of the operating system (Win2K) on it? It will not allow me to do this even as it's set to "slave".

Do I need to trick it by renaming the drive and then formatting it?

Reformatting my C drive?
use a startup disc and format your drive in DOS.
Reply:Disconnect the good drive to be sure it won't be affected by this program and run DBAN gust Google it and you will find the link. Deriks boot and nuke will completely wipe the drive of all its data and you will get a new hard drive.
Reply:Unplug your slave and boot your system with the W2k CD. When prompted DELETE the partition. It will prompt you to create a partition afterwards. Once you create the new partition W2k will ask you if you wish to install W2k. Then is will ask what kind of format you want. I would select NTFS over FAT32. The installation should continue from there.
Reply:Remove the the 2nd HD and reformat the 1st HD. Install windows. Install all drivers. Then introduce the 2nd HD. Plug and play should recognize the new HD. Just follow the what the wizard says do.

Creating a variable array in c++?

The problem I have is that I want to create a 2D array that has a variable size. I see that I can not do the following:

int m, n;

double testarray[m][n];

as c++ will not let me declare variables for the size. How would I get around this? Perhaps you could write a little code for me to illistrate this?

Thank you,

Brian

Creating a variable array in c++?
There is several otion easiest one is using double pointer though many people are not comfortable with pointer.

Using double pointer,

double ** testarray;

testarray= new double* [m];

for(i=0;i%26lt;m;i++)

testarray[i]= new double [n];

now you can use this test array as before.
Reply:The Boost project (http://www.boost.org/) provides free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries. Many of these are candidates for inclusion in a future revision of the C++ language standard. In fact, the Boost project was started by members of the C++ standards committee's library subcommittee, to develop libraries that everyone agreed were needed in C++ but weren't ready at the time the C++ standard was released.

Boost libraries are reviewed, thoroughly tested, and documented. They are in wide use and are portable to nearly all platforms that run C++.

One of the Boost libraries is the Multidimensional Array Library

(Boost.MultiArray). From the docs:

"The Boost Multidimensional Array Library provides a class template for multidimensional arrays, as well as semantically equivalent adaptors for arrays of contiguous data. ... Boost MultiArray is a more efficient and convenient way to express N-dimensional arrays than existing alternatives (especially the std::vector%26lt;std::vector%26lt;...%26gt;%26gt; formulation of N-dimensional arrays). The arrays provided by the library may be accessed using the familiar syntax of native C++ arrays. Additional features, such as resizing, reshaping, and creating views are available..."
Reply:You're only permitted to use variable value for the left-most array dimension ... this is because indexes into the array for the other dimensions need to be constant to calculate where in the array to begin the offset.

But you can simply allocate space for a one-dimensional array of the size necessary for the two-dimensional array (i.e. double testarray[m * n]) and then access elements as :

testarray[(X * n) + Y)] ... where X and Y are the row/column or column/row of the element you are seeking.

This can be expanded to work for any number of dimensions.

Trouble opening c drive?

I used to have trouble opening both my c and d drives. when i double clicked on them an "open with" dialog box would appear. for awhile i could choose internet explorer and open it but few weeks ago i couldnt do that either. i have reformatted my d drive and now it works fine and i can open it on double click but i want my c drive to work without reformatting. everytime i double click and select internet explorer as the program it says application not found. i do use AVG as my anti-virus application. please help

Trouble opening c drive?
it's mostly cause with viruses only

even iam facing this problem

u just try to formate ur PC

G.C.S.E Science anyone?

I've been told that I'm doing double science for my G.C.S.E's and I've been told to get the 'AQA Additional Science' revision guide, does this mean that I'm still doing double science or is it something else?

Another class is also doing 'AQA Applied Science', does anyone know what this is? And how is it different to the one that I'm taking? (Additional Science). Any information would be appreciated! Thank you in advance.

G.C.S.E Science anyone?
Dont know what it is BUT YOU should choose what kind of sceince YOU WANT to do! Your school cant tell you! You have to to one CORE subject and thats it! (More if you want BTW)

C++ new comer question?
do you need a simple C++ program or what ?? what is this COMER some type of machine to log the cars and all or a reader..

Cotnact me thru email, i can help you to the fullest ;)

**************************EDIT********...

WEll i tried to put some soul into your program according to a C++ program should be.. though it is not the way programs should be written, but i wanted to edit your program and not make one mine.. it includes all the un-necessary varibles, which you declared, but as i said, i just edited it.. so here it is :)

#include"iostream.h"

#include"conio.h"

void main ( )

{

clrscr();

int minutes;

float TotalHours,Fee=2,ChargeC;

int hour = 60;

double Charge;

char C,T,S, Type, Car, Truck, Senior, Minutes, Hours;

cout%26lt;%26lt;" PENTAGON VISITOR PARKING"%26lt;%26lt;endl%26lt;%26lt;endl;

cout%26lt;%26lt;" Type.....";

cin%26gt;%26gt; Type ;

cout%26lt;%26lt;endl%26lt;%26lt;endl;

cout%26lt;%26lt;" Minutes..";

cin%26gt;%26gt; minutes ;

cout%26lt;%26lt;endl%26lt;%26lt;endl;

TotalHours = minutes / hour;

cout%26lt;%26lt;" Hours...." %26lt;%26lt; TotalHours%26lt;%26lt;endl%26lt;%26lt;endl;

cout%26lt;%26lt;" Charge...";

ChargeC=Fee * TotalHours;

cout%26lt;%26lt; ChargeC ;

cout%26lt;%26lt;endl%26lt;%26lt;endl;

getch();

}

Good luck and enjoy :)
Reply:if minutes == 0, then minutes/hour will be 0 too?
Reply:You need to change TotalHours from int to double

then you can customize the cout to not display decimals or two decimals if you wish.

A common programming tip - constant variables are often written in upper case - const int hour is better if written

const int HOUR = 60;

you may need to write TotalHours = (double)(minutes/hours)

--%26gt; type cast it.

hope this helps

Reply:Some general points here: post compilable code. How can you claim a runtime problem when it won’t even compile without warnings?

main is declared as int main. Not void. Not double. Not float. Not anything else. How did you even get it to compile?

Stop polluting your global space. Why declare minutes, TotalHours, etc. globally? You can declare constants globally, but general variables? What design issue requires that?

You may want to declare minutes and TotalHours as doubles, not ints. Otherwise, you’ll be doing integral division, and the rounding will get you 0 even if the value is something like .95.

Fix your naming convention. It’s confusing.

Question about double jeopardy........??

What if the same person who murdered a woman 20 yrs ago shoots someone else, could that person be charged with murder?? y or y not?? my other quest. would be why do we have double jeopardy laws, besides b/c its in the const., why can't they be tried again for the same crime?? that does not make sense to me!!

Question about double jeopardy........??
First of all - of course a murderer can be charged for killing someone else. That's not double jeopardy. It's an entirely new crime against an entirely different person.

Double jeopardy means that you cannot be charged more than once for having committed specific acts at a specific time and place which constituted a crime. If I shoot you Thursday at 6:00, I can be tried fully and finally only one time for murder. If something goes wrong in my trial before the end, they can start again. If I lose, I can appeal a point of law. But I cannot be found Not Guilty and then arrested again for shooting you Thursday at 6:00 - even if new evidence comes to light.

The reason for Double Jeopardy laws is to promote full and final administration of justice. A case must come to an end and that must be it. Otherwise, the courts would be filled up with disputes and criminal trials that would never end. Prosecutors would rush to trial on the theory that if they lose, they can prepare better or gather more evidence and try again. And juries would have no real reason to ever come to a decision on the theory that they can just pass the job off to the jury in the next trial.

One oft-quoted example is of the woman framed for her husband's murder, found guilty and sent to jail. Upon release, she finds out her husband faked his death. She sets out to kill him believing that, since she's already been convicted of killing him, she cannot be tried for his murder again. THIS IS COMPLETELY WRONG. And NAISA below is wrong as well. Since killing her husband would happen at a different time (years later) than the crime she was convicted of, they are two separate crimes and she can be charged, tried and convicted all over again.
Reply:OK to the first part that is two crimes so they can be charged for both with out it being double jeopardyy. we have double jeopard laws to protect us, they proctor should not try someone if they don't have enough evidence to convince and if the do with out the evidence it is to bad for the victim. If some one could be tried again it would just flood our legal system and eventually people would get tired of hearing the came case against the same person they would convince even if the person was not guilty. The law is made to protect the Innocent .
Reply:They can be tried for the new murder. They can't be tried for the SAME murder more than once.
Reply:It's like this. Pretend sala killed baba, and sala went to jail for that. But baba wasn't dead. So when sala was released and saw baba kills baba goes to court again but when they look at his files he already has been punished for killing baba.
Reply:Yes because it has to be the same case again like it has to be the same case that was tried and the defendant got off and it is to prevent innocent people going to jail
Reply:Yes. Try reading. Everything will make more sense.
Reply:Double Jeopardy prevents you from prosecuting someone twice for the same crimal act. By "same criminal act," I mean the specific incident that is resulting in your prosecution. As such, if there are multiple incidents, you can get charged with the same offense for each of the seperate incidents. If I kill two people one after another, I can get charged with two counts of murder. However, if I am found not guilty of one of those counts, the State is barred from trying me again on that specific crime. In addition, they cannot charge me with a lesser crime after being found not guilty of a higher crime in the exact same criminal act. So, if I kill someone on 1/1/06, was charged and tried for capital murder, and was found not guilty, the State cannot try me again for that crime I committed on 1/1/06 and was tried for. However, if after being found not guilty, I go outside and shoot someone, I can be tried for capital murder for that criminal act.

Double Jeopardy comes into play from the Fifth Amendment. Take a look at the link below for more info on the origins and exceptions.
Reply:i can answer you first question. well first it depends was the second person shot and lived or died. if they died then they can only be charged with that murder. the only thing that will put a hinderance on that trial is the murder of the woman 20 yrs prior. the lawers might ask or bring it up again, but it still depends on if the person was murdered or not. the person would only be charged with the unsolved crime.
Reply:double jeopardy relates to crimes such as murder. it is so that you cannot be punished more than once for the same crime. such as: person 1 murders Person 2, goes to court and gets sentanced to 20 years. after 20 years, he cannot be sentanced again for murdering person 2 as he has served his sentence as appointed by a judge. if Person 1 murders someone else, it is a differnt crime and therefore not covered under Double Jeopardy.
Reply:somebody can be charged with a murder that happened 20 yrs ago if the evidence is suffiecient and if that person is linked to another murder he or she can me put on trial for two count of homicide, and if double jeapordy laws were not in effect then the government could harrass citizens by charging them with the same crime over and over again
Reply:The answer to your first question is obvious... the person murders someone else, then it is not double jeopardy. Double Jeopardy comes from the 5th amendment to the U.S. COnstitution whichroughly states that a person shall not be placed in jeopardy more than once for the first offense. This means that an actual NOT GUILTY finding at the first trial isn't actually necessary - a dismissal with prejudice works as well. Once "jeopardy attaches" (e.g. after a jury is empaneled an sworn) any errors by the Government which causes the judge to throw out the case with prejudice will result in a bar to further prosecution. Other findings short of not guilty, such as a hung jury or a dismissal without prejudice do not bar subsequent prosecution. One thing to keep in mind however is that double jeopardy only applies with regard to prosecution conducted by the same sovreign. Take for example, that Nichols fellow in the Oklahoma City Bombing (tomorrow's the 11th anniversary by the way). Tried and convicted in U.S. District for for violating federal stautes related to killing federal officers. Sentenced to life in prison. Later tried and convicted again, but this time by the state of Oklahoma for murder of those same federal officer and 46 or so others. Same transaction and occurrence, but different sovreigns. As long as there is a federal statute prohibiting the conduct that is also prohibited by the state, there is no bar from both prosecutin because the theory is that both government's have an interest in meting out their own justice.

HELP!!! Balancing Double Displacement Reactions???

I want to make sure I am doing them correctly. I have tried a few these on my own, but I'm not sure if there right?

Use (g) or (s) to indicate gases and precipitates. Write no reaction if no evidence was observed for balancing the equation.

For evidence of reaction, write (a)"Precipitate formed"(include color);(b)"Gas involved";(c)"Heat involved";(d)"No reaction observed."

Evidence of each Reaction below:

1.) NaCl + KNO3 --%26gt; NaNO3 + KCL = no reaction?

2.)NaCl +AgNO3 --%26gt; NaNO3 + AgCl

3.) Na2 CO3 + HCL --%26gt; 2NaCl + 2HCO3?

4.)NaOH + HCl --%26gt; NaCl + H2O ?

5.)CuSO4 + Zn(NO3)2 --%26gt; This is what I got for this one: CuNO3 + ZnSO4. So the evidence of reaction would be "no reaction" since they are both soluble in water right?

6.)NH4OH + H2SO4 --%26gt;

I got: 2NH4OH + H2SO4 --%26gt;

7.) NaOH + HNO3 --%26gt;

8.)FeCl3 + NH4Oh --%26gt;

9.)Na2SO3 +HCl --%26gt;

Formation of what three classes of substances caused double displacement reactions?

a.)

b.)

c.)

Write the equation for the decomposition of sulfurous acid?

HELP!!! Balancing Double Displacement Reactions???
1) correct

2) AgCl is a white precipitate

3) heat involved since this is an acid base reaction and it should be 2NaCl +H2CO3

4) heat involved

5) should be Cu(NO3)2 since copper is 2+ here and there should be a blue color to the solution- but possibly no reaction since they are both water soluable- but still solution is blue.

6) here 2NH4OH+H2SO4= 2H2O +(NH4)2SO4 heat involved- acid base reaction

7) NaOH+HNO3 --%26gt; H2O +NaNO3 heat involved

8)FeCl3+ 3NH4OH--%26gt; Fe(OH)3 (solid)+ 3NH4Cl

9) complicated- Na2SO3 +2HCl--%26gt; 2NaCl +H2SO3--%26gt; 2NaCl + SO2(gas) +H2O

sulfurous acid is H2SO3 --%26gt; H2O+SO2
Reply:if a gas is formed, a solid is formed, or water formed then it is a double displacement reaction

My question is when we fill out the schedule C it adds the 1099 income twice. Is this correct?

The program is adding the income from our 1099 and schedule C....so it's doubled?

My question is when we fill out the schedule C it adds the 1099 income twice. Is this correct?
No, that's not correct. However, it sounds like you're recording the 1099 income on the "Other Income" line you your Form 1040. Do NOT put it there! Only list it on Schedule C.
Reply:TFTP Report It

Reply:that's not correct
Reply:Where are you putting the 1099 in twice? It should only go in once on your receipts line 1.
Reply:What program? Turbo Tax had a bug where it was showing the income from the 1099 twice, but it was actually only added in once. The latest updates fixed it. I encountered that problem.

Round double/floats to fixed number of decimal places?

say i have

in C / C++ , i want to have val2 = 20.123 ... rounding off val1 to 3 decimal places. How can i do this? its not for output, so nto using cout %26lt;%26lt; setprecision.

Round double/floats to fixed number of decimal places?
Yes you can do it via following logic, I have checked in Java but it should work in C / C++ but at least you can get the idea.

val2 = (double) (((int) (val1 * 1000)) / 1000.00); //it will limit to 3 digits after decimal.

Now you can print val2 on screen or use it anywhere without using set-precision or any other function it will show three digits after decimal.

You can limit to any decimal places like following:

val2 = (double) (((int) (val1 * 100)) / 100.00); //it will limit to 2 digits after decimal.

val2 = (double) (((int) (val1 * 10000)) / 10000.00); //it will limit to 4 digits after decimal.

val2 = (double) (((int) (val1 * 100000)) / 100000.00); //it will limit to 5 digits after decimal.

Hope answered your question.

Why is Royal Roads U. so much more $ than other online & real universities in B.C. & Canada?

I'm interested in doing my Master's degree online in Communication at Royal Roads University (based out of Victoria, B.C.). But they cost about double all other similar programs in Canada ! Even a similar online program at Athabasca is $7K cheaper. Other B.C. universities are not this expensive. It's not like Royal Roads has a reputation like Harvard's! Why such a price difference? Is it anywhere near worth it?

Why is Royal Roads U. so much more $ than other online %26amp; real universities in B.C. %26amp; Canada?
There are schools that have built buildings, created libraries and gathered faculty to dedicate themselves to a life long commitment to education; and there are schools that are in it to make the greatest profit they can by cutting corners on the most expensive part of education - the faculty. If you sign up for an education from a "for profit" school, you will deserve exactly what you get - namely the least they can give you for the money.

There was a great article in the New York Times for Sunday Feb 11, 2007 about the most famous online "for-profit" school, the University of Phoenix. You should definitely check it out before you sign up for any online program.

C,D,E Drive is not opening?

Dear Friends,

In my system There are 3 drives i.e C:, D: , E:.If I Double click to that drive, it gives message "Access Denied" .And If I Right click that drives and open ,then it is opening.

So is it problem related to Virus or System ?

Please give me a solution.

Regards,

C,D,E Drive is not opening?
Yes its a result of a virus,

do this

go to folder options =%26gt; view =%26gt;

then tick off "hide protected operating system files"

you'll get a warning , click "YES"

Now open your drives (C,D,E...) you'll see an autorun file is there in each drive. delete the autorun files or open them %26amp; delete the contents in it.

then reboot %26amp; see, It wont solve your problem until You reboot. Now you can undo that change you made in folderoptions ( tick that option U ticked off previously )

p.s - if you can remove the contents of the autorun file then they are marked as "read only" you can try to remove the read only option in them or delete the autorun file.

I don't think they are really asking about half life in this question. I would just subtract 25 from 125. Then just count the 10 degree increments from 25 to 125. The time doubles every 10 degree drop, and there are 11 of them: so this gives 2^11 = 2048.

Should MLB go back to 154 game schedule and add more Double Headers?

Players biggest complaint is that the season is too long.

MLB used to have a 154 game schedule. Now it's a 162 game schedule.

MLB used to have double-headers every Sunday.

What's the best way to shorten the season and give more off-days to players who have to travel cross-country many times (as opposed to previous MLB teams who only went as far west as St. Louis).

a) Go back to 154 game schedule and add more Double Headers

b) Just back to 154 game schedule

c) Just add more Sunday Double Headers

d) What do I care? I love cold baseball in early April and late October!!

e) Insert your new idea here

.

Should MLB go back to 154 game schedule and add more Double Headers?
E) Leave it the way it is and leave inter-league games as well.

There are certain rivalries that fans must have every year now.

Yankees vs. Me ts and Cubs vs. White Six are huge inter-league games.
Reply:154 game schedule with a few more double headers and start in mid April. Eliminate interleague play as well. I think it takes away from the purity of the game.
Reply:OMG, YES!!! :)

Have 162 games in 154 dates. Eight doubleheaders--big deal. Even the primadonnas can handle that.

This won't happen, I'm afraid, because there won't be enough in it for owners/corporate swine.
Reply:D. I LOVE baseball no matter when!! However, double headers are very tough on the players and are rather boring for the fans. I'm glad they only play doubleheaders when they have postponed games to make up.

Chow!!
Reply:The best way to shorten the season is having double headers every other sunday for every team. The season should start later and end the same time it does now in October. Nothing more exciting then october baseball.
Reply:Teams hate double headers (back to back) because they only get revenue from one game. Fans hate double headers (day night) because they have to pay twice to see both games.

Sunday may screw up the isolated ESPN games and going to 154 will mean less revenue.

However, if players really don't like that extra week, are they ok with surrendering that money in their wallet?

Players are all for improvements for their conditions, as long as it doesn't hurt them financially.
Reply:Double headers now days are never really that exciting to watch. For the first game the manager is usually going to go with a watered-down lineup, and it can sometimes be like watching a Spring Training B-game. You may see the regulars come into pinch hit or play the later innings, but that's about it. If you're interested in watching and assessing the upcoming talent, then I suppose they're okay. Otherwise, you're really only getting one good game with all of the prime-time players in the lineup.

BUT, with all the inclement weather early in the season, there are probably going to be more double headers this year than usual. So, you may not get 154 games, but you will get your wish of a few Sunday Double headers after all.

Besides, with only 154 games, how is somebody going to hit the necessary 80 homers in a season to shatter Bond's already ridiculous mark? (Of course, at the current pace he's running, A-Rod could probably do it in 70 games.)
Reply:go back to 154 games statics get screwd uop because the sessons so long.
Reply:e) No.

Can any body tell me what's wrong with this c++ function and loop?

1. I am trying to create a function that doesn't allow the input of alphabets... only digits and decimal point. The input is stored in a string and then the value is assigned to a variable which is returned by the function.The problem is that when i press Enter(just like scanf) nothing happens although i have considered this. Take a look at the function:-

double getinput()

{

int n=1000,k,z,c=0;

char N[100];

double x;

for(k=0;k%26lt;=n-1;k++)

{

do

{

N[k]=_getch();

if (N[k]=='\n')

break;

if (N[k]=='.')

{z=k;c++;}

if(('0'%26lt;= N[k] %26amp;%26amp; N[k]%26lt;='9') || N[k]=='.')

printf("%c",N[k]);

}

while((!('0'%26lt;= N[k] %26amp;%26amp; N[k]%26lt;='9')) || (N[k]!='.' %26amp;%26amp; c!=1) || (N[k]!='\n'));

if (N[k]=='\n')

break;

}

for(k=0;k%26lt;=n-1;k++)

{

if(k==z || N[k]=='\n')

continue;

if(k%26lt;z)

x+=(float)N[k]*pow(10.0,z-k-1);

if(k%26gt;z)

x+=(float)N[k]*pow(10.0,z-k);

}

return x;

}

2.Is this infinite?

for(n=low;n%26lt;=up;n+=(1/10)*(up-low))

Can any body tell me what's wrong with this c++ function and loop?
You forgot to reverse the logical operators when you reversed the sense of the tests. Try changing the test in the do/while to:

while((!('0'%26lt;= N[k] %26amp;%26amp; N[k]%26lt;='9')) %26amp;%26amp; (N[k]!='.' %26amp;%26amp; c!=1) %26amp;%26amp; (N[k]!='\n'));

(|| became %26amp;%26amp; in 2 places)

I did not read any farther.

The 2nd question is chopped, but I'll take a guess:

If 'up' is changing as a side effect in the increment portion (or in the body), the loop can become infinite.

Also, if the increment portion is integer and gets truncated to 0 in the calculation, the loop becomes infinite.
Reply:I think you should compare Ascii values rather than comparing string letter explicitly.

It will make your work easier too

Hope this helps

Cheers:)

Challenge to all computer Techies! I can't open my local drives by double clicking them, simplest solution plz

OK this isn't that much of a challenge but Now that I have your attention, I have Windows XP instaleed on my computer. Untill recently I was able to open my Local Drives (C,D,E,F) by double clicking on them. But now every time I double click them a window appears asking me to choose a program I want to useto open the file ( a list of programs like Adobe Reader, Microsoft Office Excel, Internet Explorer is displayed). My drive D had very little stored in it so I moved those files to drive E and formated drive D and after formating I was able to open it by double clicking it . But I don't have time to move my folders from the other drives and format them. Can any one tell me what I should do to be able to once again open my drives by double clicking on them? Please give me the simplest solutions. Note: I can still open the folders in these drives by going to the "Desktop" tab in my Taskbar and from there "My Computer" to the Local Drive and then double clicking the folder I want to open

format ur PC!!! and install a fresh copy!
Reply:Yh wat he said lol ^^^^^^!!!!!!
Reply:There is no need to format your PC.

Actually you computer has got a virus which disables some functions of the windows explorer. So to remove this virus and restore all the windows explorer functions there is a small piece of software (just 500 kb). You can download it here and keep it in ur pc for future also if u need to change some options because it is very useful.

Download it here: http://www.losshe.net/AdvanceTech/VirusR...
Reply:to open it you need to right click the Local Drives and choose explore, you have a virus of autorun.int its not that dangerous but still you need to remove it using different antivirus, used NOD32..
Reply:i have 2 suggestions for you and hopefully they will work.

1- try this fix http://windows360.net/File-Association.h...

if not try to install and run ccleaner %26amp; ATF cleaer %26amp; some spyware scanners like super anti spyware, from here http://windows360.net/Downloads.html

keep in mind you will need to try registery cleaner which it comes with ccleaner alredy and its called issues click it and scan your PC.

i had same issue opening any EXE file and first option i gave you worked for me.

Good luck
Reply:first :- full format ur HDD %26amp; reinstall window.

second :- i dont know!!!!

I've run Chkdsk several times and it doesn't help. Please help me! It's only the roots of the drives and only when I choose "Open" not "Explore". ???

it is most likely that your computer is infected,try running your anti-virus.

Texas Accountants! What are the differences in taxes for an LLC and a C Corp?

Assume a small company. 2-4 Employees. The business will make less than $100k each year. Likely between $30k - $90k. No double taxation on the C Corp, we'll take the money out via salaries.

But what about the franchise tax? And what other differences should we be aware of?

Texas Accountants! What are the differences in taxes for an LLC and a C Corp?
I'm not an accountant, but I have a corporation in Texas. Either way, it's expensive and you're going to spend several hundred dollars, so if your business doesn't have much liability now, you may want to wait and just file a DBA as a partnership.

For either of them, you need to file with the Secretary of State, here's the link, it'll tell you how to file, fees, etc.

http://www.sos.state.tx.us/corp/business...

With your size business, if you go as a corporation, you should elect to be an "S" corp. This is very easy and lets you pass any profits from the corporation to the shareholders as wages. Any losses are passed to the shareholders and you deduct from you personal taxes. The corporation files a year end tax form, and K-1 showing the percentages for each shareholder. You then file a supplement page with your 1040.

The main difference with the LLC I think is record keeping. If you're a corporation, you need to have annual meetings, keep articles of incorporation, detailed records of any changes. Costs are about the same. I forget the filing fee, but I think it's like $400 to register the name and paperwork. You don't need a lawyer if you can find the paperwork that'll show you what you need.

Franchise tax is nothing to worry about. As a corp in Texas, you need to file 2 forms with the state every tax year. One just shows the names of the directors and the other is your income; but if it's less than $250,000, you don't owe anything.
Reply:you cant just "take the money out via salaries"

the salaries have to be reasonable. If one of the shareholders does 2 hours of work, he cant get $30000 worth of "salary"

If your business is going to make $90k, you should hire an accountant for tax advice.
Reply:if you are taking out money out via salaries you are operating as a partnership... you can be a partnership or an LLC organized as a partnership

salaries are required of corporations and LLC's organized as corporations

an LLC can be a sole owner, partnership or corporations for IRS purposes.

You need to find a tax professional to make sure you are are organized the best way possible.

Musical double sharps doubt??

I have confusion, if you are playing a A major scale which has (C#, F# and G#). Then double sharp on F would mean playing G# OR G?? Please help me out. Please also clarify me with the sharps and flats theory.

Musical double sharps doubt??
You would be playing G if you had a double sharp on F.

Double sharps are a tone higher, while regular sharps are just a semitone higher. The same rule applies to double flats but lower.

It would be very unusual to come across a double sharp in a key such as A major. They usually occur in keys that have many sharps or flats.
Reply:g natural. The double sharp or double flat is just that: it adjusts by one whole step ALWYS the natural note.
Reply:double sharping means taking the note up a whole step making it G natural.. it is not double sharping the key signature rather telling you to double sharp the naturalized version of the note
Reply:Remember that "traditional" musical theory divides the scale in 7 tones and 12 semitones. Tones: C, D, E, F, G, A, B; semitones: C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B. (E and B doesn´t have a semitone, so E# or B# doesn´t exist). This is the temperament theory (the theory that almost all the music from baroque to romanticism uses). This theory was used to organize in an easier way sounds (for example, for key instruments). According to it, a tone (except E and B) can be divided into two "equal" semitones. This means that C# (sharp) would be the same that Db (flat) (the first one is used when you ascend, the second one is used when you descend). This means, as well, that the ascending: C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B; would have an equivalent (if you invert it) in the descending: B, Bb, A, Ab, G, Gb, F, E, Eb, D, Db, C (this time, no Fb or Cb, which are equal to E# and B#). So, every # has an equivalent b. Finally, a double # or double b would be equivalent to a tone difference. This means that a F## would be equivalent to a G, and a Gbb equivalent to a F... By the way, now a days, the strict musical theory deosn´t consider C# the same that a Db. But it is so for temperament. You could check out more at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_tempe...

By the way, the tones for the A scale are: A, B, C#, D, E, F#, G#, A, (no F## in the strict scale, anyway, that would be, as we said, a G, but if you want a G, it would be easier to "undo" the # in G, than using a F##)
Reply:If you are playing Fx on a piano or other keyboard instrument, the key you are depressing is G. (F +1#=F# +1#=Fx) If you are playing an instrument of variable pitch, the note that you are playing is in fact Fx, which will finger pretty much like G but will need adjustment to be 112 cents below what your G# is.

Any major/minor scale will have one of each letter-name, which will be adjusted by sharps or flats (never both except in a few harmonic minor scales) to give the proper sequence of whole and half steps. If each interval is in tune, you have an extremely large number of different pitches per octave. By tuning "out of tune" one can limit these positions to 12 equidistant ones, as on the piano keyboard. But pianos are out of tune, even when they've just been tuned, because it is impossible to play in tune with only 12 pitches per octave.
Reply:It (F##) would be equivalent to playing the G. Is this in a piece of music you are currently studying?

That would be very rare in a piece in the key of A. Is it shown as F## -- the note head with a double sharp sign in front? If not, it is probably the cancellation of an accidental in that measure or the measure before or a courtesy mark (note with sharp (#) sign before). It would be a cancellation if there is an F natural of the same pitch earlier in the same measure, and a courtesy mark if there is an F natural in a different register earlier in the measure or in the measure before.

Without seeing the music, I guess it is also possible that it is a bi-chord (F#/G#) and the sharp sign applies to the G but looks like it's attached to the F# ... It would have to be G# in this example because the note heads for two voices places the higher voice (stems-up) after the lower voice (stems down) but there is no room for the # between the note heads ... but I'm probably going too far on that one.
Reply:It would be a G natural. Regardless of the key, a double sharp will always raise the note by two half steps, and in the case of F, two half steps above is a G natural.
Reply:G#. By the sharps and flats theory, what do you mean? How to find the key of a piece of music by the key signature? If so, then, if you are trying to find the key of a song with flats in the key signature, find the second to from the right flat, and that is what key(flat). In sharps, find the on furthest to the right and go up one(line or space) and that is your key. I hope that is what you mean. Sorry if it isn't.

Ravelinsky
Reply:The only reason for a Fx (F double-sharp) in the key of A would be to modulate or tonicize G# minor - an usual choice for certain, depending on the strictness of tonal relationships in the music.
Reply:G# surely? and what do you mean by sharps and flats theory? =S

When i use right click on my drive c it shows it has an autoplay in it...?
Right click the drive, click "Explore."

Now, you should see the contents of the drive. Find the Autoplay file in this window and delete it. If you do NOT see the Autoplay file, continue reading:

If you do NOT see the file, it is hidden. You will need to unhide it: click tools, folder options, view tab, and press the radio button that says "show hidden files and folders." Click OK. Now delete the file and, if you so choose, change the view settings back to NOT show hidden files and folders.
Reply:may be there is a file "Autorun.inf"

but may be it is hidden and system file so in folder option--%26gt;View Tab--%26gt;

1- check show hidden file and folder

2- check hide protected......

then delete autorun.inf but may be there is a virus that make it so u must clean this virus

Solving a cubic in C - not working - why?
One possible problem is the use of the error-prone scanf() function. You've declared your variables as double, but you're using the float format identifier "%f". For doubles, you need "%lf".

If you're using C++, prefer to use iostreams:

double Q;

std::cout %26lt;%26lt; "Enter your number:" %26lt;%26lt; std::endl;

std::cin %26gt;%26gt; Q;

I don't understand this Question for programming in C?

Write a program that reads the three strings syzy, “suzy” and ‘suzy’. Are the single and double quotes ignored by C or read as part of the string?

Can anyone help me out. Please answer only if you know the question. Thanks

I don't understand this Question for programming in C?
The single and double quotes are not treated any different by C when you're reading them from stdin (scanf/gets/getc/cin). If they're passed as arguments, your command interpreter (shell on unix, dos/cmd.exe on windows) will interpet the quotes (effectively hiding them from your program) unless they're escaped.

Please help? "Cannot find drive C:, please specify a location?"?

When I go into My Computer and double click on drive C, I get that message. I can right click and push "Explore" and get into C easily, so it's not a severe problem. Also, the icon for it is just that little window picture instead of what it's supposed to be... Like the icon picture it puts up when it's loading the icons. It's not the same as drive D. (Another hard drive installed on here.) Any clue as to why this happened and how to fix it? Thanks!

Please help? "Cannot find drive C:, please specify a location?"?
Sounds like your hard drive has been set to something over than C. Sounds like a virus to me.

C programming problem... What should I do to convert celcius into f k? I have done something wrong ?

Complier doesnt understand f and k in the cases

printf("F %lf",32.0+1.8*a);

case k:

scanf("%lf", %26amp;a);

printf("K %lf",a+273);

}

return 0;

}

C programming problem... What should I do to convert celcius into f k? I have done something wrong ?
#include %26lt;stdio.h%26gt;

int main()

{

double a;

char w;

scanf("%d",%26amp;w);

switch (w)

{

case 'f':

scanf("%lf", %26amp;a);

printf("F %lf",32.0+1.8*a);

break;

case 'k':

scanf("%lf", %26amp;a);

printf("K %lf",a+273);

break;

default:

printf("\n Enter f for foreignfeet, k for kelvin\n");

}

return 0;

}
Reply:f and k will be interpreted as undefined variables.

try

case 'f':

case 'k':
Reply:the reason its not working is your using w that a int read in. and f that = 0 so unless someone puts 0 in w that statement has gone. case k wont ever come up either. i think you need to read in char* in stead of ints. it looks like that what your trying to do.

other than that it looks ok.
Reply:Learn how Switch() works too.

I dont think not using breaks is your intention.

Serious Inquires! Women Only! Missed B.C. Pill?

O.K. the story goes like this. I started my new pack of birth control, YAZ, and sometime this week (I forgot what day) I missed a pill. My husband unually gives brings me my medication but one day forgot. (Our week has been a crazy week. So either of us noticed until tonight) Now my question is, since I doubled up my B.C. is there a chance of getting pregnant? Especially since I didn't double up the next day? Thank you for you help!

Serious Inquires! Women Only! Missed B.C. Pill?
No you should be fine. You only missed one pill. U doubled up so that takes care of it.On regular bc like Yaz you can even triple up and that will be fine. You still won't get pregnant since it has such a high concentration of hormones. If you have been on birth control for an extended amount of time it is even harder to get pregnant. BUT if you just started birth control (like in general) you definetly can get pregnant by missing one and forgetting to double up the next day. There isn't enough in your system that way for you to have a backup supply. You said you started a new pack so I am assuming that you have been taking packs before this. If this is the case you won't get pregnant.
Reply:if you have been on them for a while then you should be safe.
Reply:I think that you'll be fine since you doubled up. My problem when I was taking them was that I missed 1 in the second week and didn't know about double-dosing and I got pregnant. But if you've been taking them for a good long while, I don't think that you should be pregnant.
Reply:Im not a woman but I did pay very close attention to the girlfriends ive had in the past you should be fine even though you did not double up the next day as long as you are back on track with your pills you should have nothing to worrie about!
Reply:Ok, listen. Birth control doesn't totally leave your system if you miss a day. Typically, you can only get pregnant while on BC if:

1.) If pills are begun too late in the course of the menstrual cycle

2.) If two or more pills are missed in a row

3.) If pills are not taken in the correct order

If you miss two or more pills in your cycle, you are not protected from conception for the rest of your cycle, so you should use another method of birth control.

You did the right thing by immediately doubling up on your BC as that is what they tell you to do. You have a 5% chance of getting pregnant with "typical use" of the pill.

Why I cant open drive C?

Currently im using windows xp operation system.And yesterday, I try to explore my drive C by using this sequence : MyComputer%26gt;Drive C. However I unable to open it, because each time I double click on drive C, new windows pop up and ask me to select program to open with (wich has been list) in order to open the drive C!Its really confusing ..Anyone can help ? by the way, I also use the right click method, wich I select ‘open’. And it doesent work to ..

Why I cant open drive C?
Sound's like your system is corrupted to the hilt the best thing to do is to re-install it with xp clean not over the top mate.
Reply:If you right-click on the actual C: drive, try using the "explore" command instead of open.

If that doesn't work, are you sure that you are logged in as an administrator on the machine? If not, you're locked out and can't access the drive directly. You'll have to log in as an administrator.
Reply:reinstall windows my friend..

An engine has an efficiency of 1/6.when the temperature of sink is redused by 62*c,itsefficiency is doubled.te

temperatures of the source is?

An engine has an efficiency of 1/6.when the temperature of sink is redused by 62*c,itsefficiency is doubled.te
Ok, is it a Carnot machine ?

Because if it's, then :

efficiency = n = 1 - T2 / T1

1/6 = 1 - T2 / T1

T2 / T1 = 5 / 6

T2 = 5k

T1 = 6k

when T2, decreased (62+273) K

1/3 = 1 - (T2 - 335) / x

T2 = 5k

5k - 335 / 6k - x = 2/3

let's set k = 1

5 - 335 / 6-x = 2/3

30 - 5x - 335 = 6-x*2/3

-305 - 5x = 12 - 2x / 3

-915 - 15x = 12 - 2x

-927 = 13x

x = -71.3

So, the Temperature of the source has decreased in 71.3

Hope that helps

Your code is super sloppy.

Get the array populated then do this:

int size;

int array[50];

// assume size is the array length and array[size-1] is the last element.

for (int i = 0; i %26lt; size; i++)

{

int count = 0;

for (int j = 0; j %26lt; size; j++)

{

count++;

}

cout %26lt;%26lt; "Element: " %26lt;%26lt; array[i] %26lt;%26lt; " count: "%26lt;%26lt; count %26lt;%26lt; endl;

Is it code to tap into a main 100 amp breaker to create a subbreaker for a/c unit?

need to know if it is code to tap 100 amp beaker to create a sub-breaker for the a/c unit? also a double tap is not allowed on breakers but is it ok to tap a very low voltage such as a doorbell on the breaker which might appear to be doublle tap?

Is it code to tap into a main 100 amp breaker to create a subbreaker for a/c unit?
refer to Article 240.21 of the National Electrical Code...us old timers refer to it as the "10 foot tap rule"
Reply:it is OK as long you do not above the capacity (100amp) load
Reply:USA I am not sure what you mean by tap 100 amp breaker. If you mean can you place another set of wires on the lugs of the breaker, NO. You will need to create more space in your existing breaker box, or replace it, or add a new sub-panel. Also, do not mix low-voltage with 120 or 240 volts at a breaker.

Since you had to ask the question, I am assuming you are not familiar with electrical work. Please hire a licensed electrician to take care of this for you. Tapping off a main line is not something for the untrained to do.
Reply:throw in some mini breakers and make room for the 30 amp circuit, and check the amps your drawing
Reply:It is NOT okay.

Cannot open my c drive?

i cannot open my c drive when i double click. I also connot open it when i right click and choose whether autorun, explore or open. When i scan with anti virus it says error opening file. What can i do except format my computer ?

Cannot open my c drive?
sounds like you got a virus, try to delete it with software before you reformat.
Reply:in your address bar type this:

c:\

if you entered the drive, go to tools in the menu-%26gt;folder options-%26gt;view tab-%26gt;choose display hidden files and uncheck hide protected os files.

now if you find a file in drive c named autorun delete it.
Reply:Try attaching your hard drive to another computer and scanning it with anti virus and spyware software.
Reply:Hello,

(ANS) Your hard disk drive has a boot sector or boot record virus (infection). Infections of this type are designed too do exactly this mess up access to your data.

**YES! I completely agree with the second person who posted here, remove the drive in question and attached the HDD to another machine and then scan the drive with a good anti virus program such as FREE AVG anti virus (this is free-ware).

NOTE: If the machine in question is windows XP (or one that uses NTFS) then there are only a very few boot files that can be damaged. So your best option might be to replace the boot files for NT from either a clean machine thats running exactly the same version of windows or from the original CD.

**Formatting or Re-formatting the drive shouldn't be required, only if nothing else works and only as a total last resort.

**The boot files for windows XP are:-

boot.ini (this looks for your hard disk drives)

boot.bak

bootmgr

bootsect.bak

NTDETECT.COM (detects your hardware)

NTLDR.com (loads the OS)

NTUSER.DAT

config.sys

io.sys

autoexec.bat

Hope that helps?

Kind regards Ivan

I cant open my C Drive....?

i cant seem to open my C drive when i double click it...also i cant open it by right click "Open" or "Explore"....and i plus i cant seem to be able to see my hidden folders.....

everytime i try to double click it...it igves me a list of programmes to choose from...and when i choose Windows Explorer....it opens Explorer with an error "Application Not Found"....

i know its a virus of some sort....i just need a way to remove it...

any ideas......?

I cant open my C Drive....?
There are two solutions. First one is to re-install your windows. Second one is that use some tweaker, as Registry Tweaker to make you folder options be shown. (I think it has disappeared). Open folder option, click view tab, click at "Show hidden files". Uncheck these option. (Hide protected operating system files %26amp; Hide extensions for known file type). Now open C drive as harder as you can. Delete all autorun files and exe files. Now restart your computer. I hope it will work. Don't forget to use some good antivirus as well...
Reply:Look for a file names autorun.inf in the root of your C: drive. If there's one there, you'll need to delete it.

Start, Programs, Windows Explorer.

Single left click on the C: drive.

Look on the right side of Explorer for an Autorun.inf file.

If you see one there, right click on it, then select delete.

Reboot twice or three times. Usually does the trick.

Try this.

Start, Programs, MS-DOS Prompt

Type the following without the quotes:

"CD \"

"dir %26gt; dir.txt"

"exit"

Now open up Windows Explorer and double click on the c:\dir.txt file
