A double-stranded DNA molecule??????

A double-stranded DNA molecule contains 20 percent guanine (G). What is the percent adenine (A) in this molecule?

A. 20 percent

B. 30 percent

C. 80 percent

D. 40 percent

E. 50 percent

A double-stranded DNA molecule??????
Its 30% Babe
Reply:20% guanine means 20%cytosine. now this means 60% is adenine and thymine. since A=T that means 30% adenine is there.
Reply:110%. Adenine is known for being the most ambitious of the nucleotides.
Reply:Proteins my dear,mitagation thru adaptaion,.
Reply:simple its 30%
Reply:(B) 30 Percent.

G=20% so C=20%

60% left, so split it between A %26amp; T.

Therefore A=30%
Reply:30%

If 20 Guanine the 20% Cytosine. Therefore remining is 60% divided by 2 Thymine and Adenine therefore 30%
Reply:well it work like this

C pairs with G

and A pairs with T so then....

if theres 20% G then there is 20% C....that leaves 60% for the rest of the DNA molecule to be A and T...since they must be equal percentages ( as they pair up together ) then there is 30% of A in the molecule,....hope this helps...let me know if you need more explanation
Reply:30 %

because if guanine =20 then cytosine must be 20 the remaining 60 is equally split between adenine and T (for got what its called). so 30%
Reply:b, if ther is 20 G then ther is 20 c. that leave 60 . 60/2 is 30, 30 A and T
